Spruce View Manor and Heritage Place Lodge Truth and Reconciliation Presentation
Constable Wynette Tailfeathers spent some time at both Spruce View Manor and Heritage Place Lodge on the Monday prior to the National Truth and Reconciliation Day to share her experiences as a First Nations’ woman who attended residential school until grade 4. She shared her experiences on what it is like to walk the line between being a police officer and her First Nations heritage and culture, especially in the after wakes of Residential Schools. Residents expressed deep gratitude and admiration as they listened to her experiences and saw how these events transpired through her perspective. Thank you to the Morinville RCMP department for having programs like this for our seniors!
