Chief Executive Officer

Raymond is a dynamic leader with over 20 years of professional experience in healthcare, housing, and human services.  Raymond’s career started as a recreation therapist in long term care serving residents living with dementia and developmental disabilities.  Leadership experience has included seniors housing, designated supportive living and long-term care.   

Raymond is passionate about creating housing and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents and their community. Housing is not about the bricks and mortar, it is about people having a sense of community, belonging, and opportunity to thrive. 

Raymond holds an MBA and MA in Health Leadership from Royal Roads University and is a Board member with the Canadian College of Health Leaders, Northern Alberta Chapter.

Dwayne Kalke, CPA, CMA

Director of Finance and IT

Dwayne joined Homeland Housing in 2015 and is a Certified Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant with over 30 years of experience as a designated professional Accountant, mainly working with property development, Hotels and Casinos.

Dwayne enjoys working with organizations like Homeland Housing that have a passion for providing excellent customer service while taking good care of employees.

Dwayne enjoys family and travel in North America and cannot wait to get back to Mexico!

Cindy Manuel-Pilgrim

Director of Human Resources

Cindy has over 15 years of professional experience in human resources, with nine years in supervisory and management roles. Moving from the oil and gas sector, she joined the Homeland Housing team in 2016 and instantly felt a strong connection to seniors housing. 

 

Creating an organization with an amazing work culture, engaged employees and happy residents is very important to Cindy and she motivated and extremely enthusiastic about achieving the strategic goals identified by the organization. 

In her personal time Cindy is working towards her CPHR designation. She also loves to read, travel and spend time outdoors camping and hiking.

Marc Parent

Manager, Maintenance Operations

Marc has more than 20 years of experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.  He holds a Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter Second Class, then acquired his Gas Fitter First Class certification in 2005.   

Marc joined Homeland Housing in 2012 as Maintenance Team Leader for our St. Albert sites, then in 2015 became maintenance manager.  Marc was appointed a Senior Manager, Maintenance Operations in 2018 and is responsible for the overall maintenance program at Homeland Housing.  

Marc has enjoyed working with the RCMP, K Division and St. Albert Catholic Schools.  When asked what makes his day, Marc said, “I enjoy listening, visiting, and joking with the seniors, while at the same time knowing that I am making a difference in their lives by keeping them safe, warm, and happy. And that makes me happy.”  

Marc has called St. Albert his home for over 45 years and can remember when Chateau Mission Court and Northridge were being built.  He likes to spend his free time with family, fishing, and is President of the St. Albert Indigenous Day Celebration Society.
